Design and manufacturing come first. Every structure starts as a site layout plan and a steel structure design that suits the grower's requirements and environment.

Structures range from the standard 10 m x 30 m tunnel up to 100 m x 100 m multispan, and any size in between can be accommodated.

Tunnel Farming is backed by Sunrise Agri Farm, which has supplied and installed greenhouse structures in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Lesotho.

Designed for your site

We work with the farmer on their requirements and draw up a site layout plan and a greenhouse steel structure design that will work in that environment.

Area and conditions matter. Some areas are very hot with heavy winds, others are very cold. Tunnel height is set by the crop you plan to grow, and structures can be covered in plastic or net to suit the weather.

The structure

Structures give a growing height of 2.7 m and a total height of 4.7 m, and they can carry crop support trellises.

Only AA-grade steel is used, never B-grade. The unique slanted-leg design caters for high-wind areas, and the structures can be insured with most agricultural insurance companies.

Supplied complete

Complete steel structures are supplied and installed with their plastic. The irrigation pump station and the irrigation inside the greenhouse can be installed as part of the same job.

Tunnels are covered in 200 micron plastic: a diffused, multi-layered film with UV stabilisers, 85% total light transmission and 95% UV blocking.

Easy to erect

The structure design is user friendly. Anyone who can use a measuring tape can erect it, with phone support wherever you are.
